Within thematic week "The Future of Community and Mobility", representatives of the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, supported by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia, on May 13 and 14, 2025, presented three technological innovations that shape a sustainable future. An interactive exhibition of underwater systems and autonomous technologies, bio-hybrid systems that use plants to monitor the environment, and the application of artificial intelligence in meteorology and ecological sustainability. The Minister of Science, Education, and Youth of the Republic of Croatia, Prof. Radovan Fuchs, Ph.D., attended the project presentation.

On the first day, innovations in artificial intelligence, robotics, and sustainable energy systems were presented, as well as interdisciplinary projects dealing with real environmental and technological challenges.
On the second day, in the European Union pavilion, projects that push the boundaries of artificial intelligence, sustainability, and robotics were presented. Visitors were introduced to Smart Bio-Hybrid Organisms, a new system that turns plants into environmental sensors by integrating artificial intelligence and enabling real-time monitoring of plant reactions and environmental changes, and Underwater Robotics and Systems - Autonomous submersibles for marine exploration and research for exploring the sea and the underwater world.

Also, a project on meteorology driven by artificial intelligence, transforming climate forecasts and fostering innovation in energy, agriculture, and sustainable development, was presented, as well as tools for predicting and adapting to extreme weather conditions.
Visitors had the opportunity to experience how science and technology are opening up new solutions for our community and environment through the innovations mentioned above.
