CROATIA PAVILION AT EXPO 2025 OSAKA

ARTICLE 11/04/2025

The Republic of Croatia will be represented at this year's World EXPO 2025 in Osaka with its national pavilion themed "Croatia – Climadiversity," showcasing a unique technological and artistic interpretation of Croatia’s climate diversity.

The pavilion is designed as an immersive environment that continuously changes based on real-time weather data from Croatia, making each visit a new experience. Thermal cameras will capture visitors' interactions with microclimates within the pavilion, while live thermal imaging from weather stations across Croatia will be streamed, adjusted for the time difference between Croatia and Japan. These broadcasts will be displayed in the pavilion as well as on the official website and social media platforms.

The concept of the pavilion is created by Lana Grahek, Maroje Mrduljaš, Antonio Patljak, Korina Vuković and Pero Vuković, in collaboration with the company ARHIV Architecture and Urbanism, and made by Enison Ltd. The Commissioner General for the Republic of Croatia at the EXPO 2025 Osaka and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Zdenko Lucić, together with the authors and main contractor, presented the pavilion to the public on February 7, 2025.

The World EXPO 2025 Osaka will be held from April 13 to October 13, 2025, on the man-made island of Yumeshima, under the main theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives." With participation from 158 countries and 7 international organizations, this year’s Expo is expected to attract over 28 million visitors.
