On the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Croatia at EXPO 2025 Osaka on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 5:45 P.M., Klapa Mriža will perform on the stage of the National Day “Ray Garden” arena.
On the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Croatia at the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition in Japan, the audience in Osaka will have the opportunity to experience one of the greatest musical treasures of the Croatian coast – klapa singing, performed by the Klapa Mriža.
Founded in 2008 in Split, as a group of friends in love with the klapa chord, the Klapa Mriža cherishes traditional klapa singing – part of the Croatian and world cultural heritage under the protection of UNESCO.

From its beginnings to the present day, it has distinguished itself on the domestic and international scene: from its success at the Dalmatian Klapa Festival in Omiš – the Klapa “Olympus” – to numerous performances throughout Europe and the world, all the way to the Far East. Their performances are known for their strong emotion, rich harmonic style and authentic Dalmatian spirit.
Klapa singing is an a cappella musical expression of Dalmatia, recognizable for its tight harmonic style and thirds that echo through the centuries. Thematically, the songs encompass love, nostalgia, joy, but also life's trials, so they reflect both local history and universal human experiences.
This year, the Klapa Mriža will proudly represent Croatia and the tradition of klapa singing in Japan, on the occasion of the celebration of Croatia's National Day at EXPO 2025 Osaka.
